Harking back to the Curio collections of the past, the Curio Pendant features a striking piece of mother nature herself, a Jewel Beetle. The beetle is cast into layers of clear casting resin to preserve this beetle forever. This necklace is truly one of a kind and is backed on Sterling Silver. 

I worked with resin for 15 years, encasing found insects and butterfly wings in clear casting resin, preserving what nature had left behind before the natural process of decomposition sets in. I loved the idea of preserving an insect and giving it new life in a wearable piece of jewellery which can be cherished and admired for further generations. This is one of my last resin works available and was the poster image for my Curio II Collection in 2010.
