The Poppy flower itself is the piece which can be removed from the sculptural display to be worn when desired.
The Poppy brooch has been hand carved then crafted in Sterling Silver. The middle of the flower along with each stamen has been individually fabricated in 18ct Yellow Gold which gives a rich contrast of colour up against the blackened Sterling Silver petals.
The backdrop of the display cabinet features hand crafted leaves and poppy heads in Sterling Silver.
The display cabinet itself is crafted in Oak with a black finish/pearl back board and comes with a wall mount. The cabinet can be opened from the side which allows easy access to the brooch when desired to be worn.
Please note this is quite a weighty brooch which has been designed to wear on a sturdy fabric such as a jacket and is not as well suited to be worn on fine, free flowing garments.
