The little fish is modelled on the local Whitebait / Inanga found in New Zealand Waters. 
Featuring a body of a pearl, the little eye, fin and tail are each hand crafted in gold, along with the pin itself. The pupils feature inlayed ebony.

The bottom end of the pin features a hand crafted cap in gold which fits snuggly over the pointy end of the pin to protect the wearer and offer further security when worn.
