The Wellington Green Gecko, Naultinus elegans punctatus, is found in the Southern half of the North Island of New Zealand. These bright green wonders can be seen occasionally in the wild but are listed as At Risk in the New Zealand Threat Classification System.
Having visited Zealandia, a wildlife sanctuary here in Wellington I was very inspired to feature these endemic New Zealand Geckos in my work. The Wellington Green Gecko Pendant features x2 Wellington Green Gecko's which I have hand carved and crafted in Sterling Silver. Their bodies are wrapped around a beautiful piece of Chrysoprase which is a similar luminous green colour to that of the Geckos scaly skin.
Suspended from a Sterling Silver Chain, and engraved on the back of the pendant 'Wellington's Green Gecko', this piece was hand carved and finished by Steph Lusted's own hands in her central Wellington Workshop in New Zealand.
Includes a Steph Lusted Jewellery printed jewellery box.
